रविवार को इंदौर में 247 नए मरीज मिले, जो इस कोराेनाकाल के सबसे ज्यादा केस हैं। इससे पहले 16 अगस्त को 245 मरीज आए थे। मरीजों की बढ़ती संख्या के कारण पॉजिटिव रेट 9.52 पर पहुंच गया है। नगर निगम के स्टोर विभाग के एक कर्मचारी की कोरोना के कारण मौत हो गई। निगम के मुख्यालय में पदस्थ कर्मचारी छह दिन पहले कोरोना की चपेट में आ गया था। उन्हें उपचार के लिए खजराना के सिद्धि विनायक अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया था।
कोरोना के कारण कर्मचारी के फेफड़ों तक वायरस पहुंच गया। इससे उनकी हालत बिगड़ी। इस पर उन्हें दूसरे अस्पताल में भर्ती कराए जाने की तैयारी थी, लेकिन तब तक कर्मचारी ने दम तोड़ दिया। दो कोविड अस्पतालों से रविवार को 92 मरीज डिस्चार्ज हुए। इनमें अरबिंदो से 46 और इंडेक्स से 46 मरीज स्वस्थ हुए। अरबिंदो से डिस्चार्ज होने वालों में 11 वर्षीय वासु गुप्ता से लेकर 82 वर्षीय सदाशिव चौधरी/नटवरलाल नागर हैं। सदाशिव चौधरी (82) ने शुगर और ब्लड प्रेशर होने के बावजूद कोरोना को हराकर अपने हमउम्र लोगों को भी जीत का हौसला दिया। रविवार देर रात 2591 सैंपलों की जांच रिपोर्ट आई। इनमें से 2311 लोगों की रिपोर्ट निगेटिव रही। 23 मरीज रिपीट पॉजिटिव पाए गए, जबकि 10 सैंपल रिजेक्ट हुए। वहीं, चार लोगों की मौत भी हुई। अब तक जिले में 1 लाख 95 हजार 511 लोगों की जांच रिपोर्ट आ चुकी हैं। इनमें 11408 लोग संक्रमित पाए गए हैं। 7874 मरीज कोरोना को मात देकर अपने घर लौट चुके हैं। जबकि 364 मरीजों की जान जा चुकी है। अभी भी जिले में 3170 मरीज अलग-अलग अस्पतालों में भर्ती हैं।
