Index Institute of Dental Sciences, Indore sadly lost one of its greatest pillars on Thursday, January 13, 2022 when Dr. Hemani Sukhija passed away.
We call her one of our greatest pillars of our institution because Dr. Hemani’s contributions have been instrumental in the growth and development of Index Institute of Dental Sciences since 2013. She was the Professor & Head, Dept of Oral Pathology and also served as the chief mentor of Preclinical year (I and II BDS) students.She was one of most revered and loved teachers amongst the undergraduate students. Recently, Dr. Hemani also delivered online lectures in the speciality field of Oral Pathology for a Chennai based Dental College. Her expertise, lucidity of expression and her passion for education will always drive students to achieve greatness in the field.
Dr. Hemani’s contributions extended beyond academics. She most capably managed the print and television media for the entire Index Group of Institutions and was also instrumental in the management of the website for Malwanchal University.
On January 1, 2022 she was admitted to the Medanta Hospital, Indore to undergo treatment of certain complications related to SLE. Unfortunately, at 9.45 am on January 13, 2022 our institution lost the hardworking, dedicated and passionate member of its family.
