वही मुख्यमंत्री शिवराज सिंह ने “अटल टनल” ट्वीट कर कहा की हमारे पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री स्व. श्री अटल बिहारी वाजपेयी का स्वप्न था, जो कांग्रेस सरकार की अकर्मण्यता के कारण पूरा नहीं हो पा रहा था। वह स्वप्न हमारे यशस्वी प्रधानमंत्री के दृढ़ संकल्प से पूरा हुआ। यही वाजपेयी जी को सच्ची श्रद्धांजलि है! साथ ही उन्होंने टनल इनॉग्रेशन का एक वीडियो भी अटैच किया
