मध्य प्रदेश में बैगा आदिवासियों के लिए सरकार बड़े-बड़े दावे करती है लेकिन आदिवासी बहुल बालाघाट जिले में हालात ऐसे हैं कि यहां पर एक प्रसूता की डिलीवरी बैलगाड़ी में करानी पड़ी. यहां पर सड़क इतनी खराब है कि एंबुलेंस ही नहीं पहुंच पाई. लेकिन चूंकि गर्भवती महिला को अस्पताल पहुंचाना था, तो बैलगाड़ी का सहारा लेना पड़ा. लेकिन महिला अस्पताल पहुंच पाती, उसके पहले ही उसकी डिलीवरी हो गई.
लालबर्रा मुख्यालय से 10 किलोमीटर दूर रानीकुठार के गणखेड़ा में सड़क खराब होने की वजह से जननी एक्सप्रेस नहीं पहुंच पाई और बैलगाड़ी में ही आदिवासी महिला की डिलीवरी हो गई. गांववालों ने जननी एक्सप्रेस को फोन किया था, एंबुलेंस गांव के पास पहुंच भी गई लेकिन गांव से 10 किलोमीटर पहले ही उसे रोकना पड़ा, ऐसे में ग्रामीणों ने बैलगाड़ी से प्रसूता महिला को अस्पताल तक ले जाने की व्यवस्था की, लेकिन अस्पताल पहुंचने से पहले ही महिला ने बैलगाड़ी में बच्चे को जन्म दिया. बाद में जननी एक्सप्रेस से महिला और उसके बच्चे को अस्पताल लाया गया, जहां दोनों को भर्ती कर इलाज किया जा रहा है और अभी दोनों खतरे से बाहर है.जिले के मुख्य चिकित्सा अधिकारी मनोज पांडे ने बताया कि जननी एक्सप्रेस गई थी, लेकिन बीच में नाले में पानी ज्यादा होने और पुल नहीं होने के चलते पहुंच नहीं पाई, जिससे उसे बैलगाड़ी में नाले तक लेकर आना पड़ा, वही रास्ते में ही बैलगाड़ी में डिलीवरी हो गई.
